Katelyn Alain is an American painter currently living and working in Brooklyn, NY. She has won numerous awards including most recently the National Association of Women Artists 2011 Elizabeth Erlanger Memorial Award. Past honors include the Lois G. Roberts Scholarship and the Kenneth Brown and Robert Kaentje Award for painting as well as a graduate faculty nomination for the Joan Mitchell Foundation Grant. Her work has been exhibited across the United States and featured in publications including The Wall Street Journal and American Art Collector Magazine.
Alain has an MFA in painting from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a BFA from Hartford Art School. She also attended the Marchutz Painting School at the Institute for American Universities in Aix-en-Provence, France and completed a residency at the Vermont Studio Center in Johnson, VT.
